the welcome post

Hello followers and welcome to my fashion blog! This blog is dedicated to all those money conscious fashionistas who want to get designer (like) fashion for less.

Let me tell you a bit about myself and my style. 

First of all, I'm not a stylist and I don't pretend to be. I just really, really, really love fashion and styling and decided that I wanted to share my love of it, and my version of it with the world. I'm an advertising student in my final year and have enjoyed every minute of it. I'm hoping to get into creative because I enjoy design and copywriting. Lastly, I come from a background in art so I love to play with colours and patterns and, of course, textures. 

If I have to describe my style in three words they would be: edgy, playful and ever-changing. I really don't follow one particular style. One day I'll frolic around in a floral dress and heels, and the next I'll be wearing large sweaters and combat boots. I believe that no one has to follow a particular style. You should always be comfortable and confident. I always wear things that I like and I think I can wear without worrying what people think of me. Fashion should be for you and you only, and no one else.

I'm hoping to have three or four different types of posts here. Mainly, taking fashion editorials or celebrity styles and making them from cheaper alternatives. As a college student I'm probably the cheapest type of person, so I want to share that you don't need to spend $500 on an outfit to get the look. I'll also be updating with some of my own looks and other people's style too!
